Newspower Australia Director Profiles
Graeme launched Newspower in South Australia in 1998. Graeme has been a Director of Newspower Australia for 20 years and is the current Chairman of the Board.
He has been the Treasurer of ANF for a number of years and involved in Industry projects such as Trade Practices Authorisations, design and implementation of training program for introduction of GST, negotiation of Newsagency contracts and represented Newsagents on various Industry and Government bodies.
Chris is the General Manager of VANA Ltd. Chris enters an exciting phase of VANA and the industry as they develop their Nparcel platform to take advantage of the e-commerce space available to them.
Prior to his recent appointment, Chris was the Victorian State Sales Manager for Henderson Greetings and has owned and operated three newsagencies in a career spanning 20 years. He has also held directorships at the ANF and VANA and has highly developed corporate governance and business acumen skills.
Having been involved with Newspower in the past he understands the challenges and what brand equity can deliver. With a strong focus on strategy, marketing, finance and stakeholder relationships, Chris is able to bring over 20 years of retail and SME experience to the role of Director at Newspower.
Grant is the Group General Manager of ANCOL (SA) and has been since March 2010, and has held a position on the Newspower Board since that time.
Prior to be appointed to the current role Grant worked within the ANCOL Group as General Manager of Metropolitan Paper, a stationery manufacturer and paper converter. Accordingly, he has been involved with the stationery & newsagent channel in excess of 25 years.
Grant has a strong sales focus and subsequent appreciation of the importance the Newspower Brand has for our members.
Martin has been a CEO in several industries including media, insurance and publishing.
Currently he is on a number of Boards and Chairs GNS, Natbuild (National Building Supplies Buying Group)and Peak Care Equipment (manufacturer and wholesaler of assistive technology). With qualifications in Law, Accounting and Management.
Martin will be an enormous asset to the Newspower Australia Board.
Ian was appointed as the Chief Executive of the Newsagents Association of NSW and ACT in October 2015.
He has been heavily involved in industry associations for more than 20 years, having undertaken major assignments at CEO level for a number of major Australian, Australasian and International organisations.
With qualifications in business, industrial relations and training he has a strong track record in governance, financial management and organisational development.
Ian has been a director and office bearer of a number of companies, associations and charities over an extended period.
